Carducci Quartet and Simon Rowland-Jones at Holkham Hall in Norfolk on Friday 15th September
Friday 15th September, the Carducci Quartet will perform at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, United Kingdom at 19:00.
The string quartet will play in the Marble Hall at Holkham, the domain of the Earl of Leicester. In this exceptional setting, the Carducci Quartet will play in quintet with Simon Rowland-Jones, violist and founder of the Chilingirian Quartet, famous for his viola transcriptions of Bach Suites for Cello and Violin.
The Carducci Quartet was given a Royal Philharmonic Award last year for its Shostakovich 15 project aimed at performing both the famous and the unknown works of the Russian composer. Charming and dramatic, the Anglo-Irish quartet has been seen in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Wigmore Hall and Carnegie Hall. They have also performed at renowned festivals such as the Cheltenham Music Festival or the Messian Festival. The quatuor’s other accolades include winning the Concert Artists Guild International Competition in 2007 and Finland’s Kuhmo International Chamber Music Competition.
The Carducci Quartet is represented by the Franco-British artist management agency CLB Management.
