Ensemble Correspondances Performing at KLANGVOKAL Musikfestival Dortmund Friday 9 June
Having already impressed with their performance at the festival’s 2015 edition, Ensemble Correspondances and Sébastien Daucé return to the KLANGVOKAL Musikfestival Friday 9 June 2017 to play a new programme at the St. Bonifatiuskirche Church in Dortmund at 20:00. Toutes les Nuits (“All the Nights”) offers an insight in the rich musical history of 17th century France, inviting audiences to discover the works of Henry Du Mont, Antoine de Boësset and Étienne Moulinié.
Founded in 2009, Ensemble Correspondances brings together 17th century French sacred music specialists, musicians who met while studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon. Over a few short years, Ensemble Correspondances has come to be recognized as an important reference for the French Grand Siècle music repertory. Many of the ensemble’s recordings have been earned public and critical acclaim, with their notable Concert royal de la Nuit album winning Echo Klassik’s “World Premiere Recording of the Year” in 2016.
