Ensemble Correspondances Performing at RheinVokal Festival Saturday 15th July
After their concert in Dortmund at the KlangVokal Musikfestival, the Ensemble Correspondances will perform on Saturday 15 July 2017 at 20:00 in the Basilica of St Martin in Bingen, Germany under the musical direction of conductor and organist Sébastien Daucé as part of the RheinVokal festival. Each year, the RheinVokal festival invites prestigious soloists, choirs, and ensembles to the Middle Rhine Valley to indulge in vocal music.
The programme includes Motets for solo voice and instruments by Guillaume Nivers, Henry Dumont and Nicolas Clérambault.
Founded in 2009, Ensemble Correspondances brings together 17th century French sacred music specialists, who met while studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon. In just a few short years, the ensemble has come to be recognized as an important reference for the French Grand Siècle music repertory. Many of the ensemble’s recordings have earned both public and critical acclaim, with their notable Concert royal de la Nuit album winning Echo Klassik’s “World Premiere Recording of the Year” in 2016.
