Ensemble KNM Explores “ASIA”: Performance of Hugues Dufourt Composition this Saturday in Berlin
After performing the first two concerts of Hugues Dufourt’s four-part cycle Le Monde d’après Tiepolo (AMERICA and EUROPE), the Ensemble KNM now explores the third continent in the series, Asia. The concert will take place at the Radialsystem V. in Berlin, Germany on 24th June 2017 at 20:00.
Inspired by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo’s ceiling fresco depicting the four continents known at that time, French composer and philosopher Hugues Dufourt created the cycle Apollon et les continents d’après Tiepolo which consists of four compositions, each composition dedicated to one continent (America, Europe, Asia and Africa).
The concert cycle Le monde d’après Tiepolo is supported by the Franco-German fund for contemporary classical music, Impuls neue Musik.
