François Dumont Performs at the Chopin Festival XI. INTERMUSICALE OBERURSEL
On 26 August 2017, French pianist François Dumont will perform at XI. INTERMUSICALE OBERURSEL (25 – 27 August 2017), a Chopin festival in Oberursel, Germany, organized by the Chopin-Gesellschaft Taunus e.V.. The festival’s motto is: PARIS – Chopin im Kreise seiner Bewunderer, Treffpunkt der Künstler (PARIS – Chopin in the circle of his admirers, meeting point of artists). François Dumont’s recital will explore Chopin and his influence, including works by Chopin, Kowalski and Gottshalk and Paderewski.
François Dumont’s international career has been launched by his success in major international piano competitions winning prizes in the Chopin Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Competition among others. He has also been invited to perform recitals in major venues such as the “Piano aux Jacobins” Festival in Toulouse, the RadioFrance Montpellier Festival, the “Chopin and his Europe” Festival in Warsaw, the Ljubljana Festival, and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in addition to regularly touring in Japan and China.
