Guillaume Connesson: Closing Concert of West Cork Chamber Music Festival and World Premiere at Bravo! Vail Music Festival
French composer Guillaume Connesson’s Sextet for oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, bass and piano will be performed at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival in Cork, Ireland on Saturday 8th July 2017 at 20:00. The following day, his newly commissioned symphonic orchestra piece Le Tombeau des Regrets will have its world premiere in the United States, at the Bravo! Vail Music Festival in Vail, Colorado.
The West Cork Chamber Music festival is one of Ireland’s leading festivals and is known for commissioning works every year. The performance of Guillaume Connesson‘s Sextet is part of the Festival’s Finale event. Click here for more information and the full programme of the concert.
At 18:00 on Sunday 9th July in Vail, Colorado, the Philadelphia Orchestra and Stéphane Denève will perform the world premiere of Guillaume Connesson‘s Le Tombeau des Regrets, a symphonic orchestra commissioned by the Bravo! Guillaume Connesson, born in 1970, is composer in residence with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre National de Lyon. He regularly receives commissions from top orchestras and is internationally recognized for his imaginative and diverse influences. His compositions are published by Editions Billaudot.
