French ensemble La Rêveuse has been awarded the Gold Medal from the Académie Arts Sciences et Lettres de Paris for their work. The official ceremony was held on 24 June in Paris.
Founded by Benjamin Perrot and Florence Bolton, La Rêveuse is an ensemble made up of soloist musicians who concentrate on the artistic legacy of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, such as the composers Buxtehude, Purcell, Telemann. With the aim of creating links between different art forms, the ensemble often works in the world of theatre, literature and paintings. For the 2017-2018 season the ensemble is planning a host of new collaborative projects, international tours and newly created shows, including the premiere of the new programme L’Heure Verte in July 2017, a show dedicated to the poets of the Chat Noir Cabaret, as well as a tour in Russia in September 2017.
