New Partcipative Programme “Hip Baroque Choc” from Le Concert de la Loge
Le Concert de la Loge is proud to present its new participative programme Hip Baroque Choc at the Mairie of the IV Arrondissement in Paris on 23 May 2017 at 19:30.
In Fall 2016, Le Concert de la Loge launched an educational and artistic initiative to combine music and dance. After several months of work and more than 70 hours of artist-led workshops, the first collective work will be premiered with the students of the Théophile Gautier professional high school on Tuesday 23rd May.
As a result of the encounters and exchanges between the professional artists and the students, this first edition will revolve around the baroque repertoire, including the most famous airs of Rameau, Bach, Couperin and Biber accompanied by and reinterpreted through hip-hop dance, slam poetry and choral singing.
This interactive programme is presented by Le Concert de la Loge, La Compagnie Massala, La Maîtrise de Paris and students from the Lycée Professionnel Théophile Gautier. The project is supported by the Mairie de Paris, the Mairie of the IV Arrondissement, and by the Académie de Paris.
