Quatuor Arod and French Guitarist Thibaut Garcia Join the BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists
Quatuor Arod and Thibaut Garcia have been chosen by BBC Radio 3 to be part of its New Generation Artists programme for 2017/2019. This programme supports young musicians on the threshold of an international career. Both of these French artists will benefit from significant performances, broadcasts and recording opportunities in the two years ahead.
Wednesday October 4, Radio 3 launches a weekly afternoon programme dedicated to previous and current BBC New Generation Artists.
Quatuor Arod and Thibaut Garcia are both managed by the French agency l’Agence, created by Clément Ledoux and Clémentine Richard, and signed to the Erato Label.
Created in 2013 the Quatuor Arod won several international prizes including the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, the First Prize at the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition and the FNAPEC European Competition. It is currently artist-inresidence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels with the Artemis Quartet. For more informations about the Quatuor Arod click here.
Thibaut Garcia was awarded the first prize at the Ana Amalia competition in Weimar and the first prize in the Guitar Foundation of America at Oklahoma City, USA.
