Thierry Escaich World Premiere in Japan 18th July
Organist and composer Thierry Escaich will perform the world premiere of his piece Quatre Visages du temps with the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, under the direction of Michiyoshi Inoue, on Tuesday, 18th July 2017 at 19:00 in the Ishikawa Ongakudo Concert Hall in Kanazawa, Japan.
In addition to the world premiere of Escaich‘s third organ concerto, the evening’s programme also includes improvisation by the French musician as well as pieces by Schubert and Saint-Saens. This programme will also be performed in Tokyo, Matsumoto, and Kawasaki the 20th, 21st, and 23rd July respectively. See below for more details.
Composer, organist and improviser, Thierry Escaich is a unique figure on today’s music scene and one of the major representatives of the new generation of French composers. The three aspects of his art are indissociable, allowing him in his concerts to mix creation, improvisation and interpretation in highly diverse combinations.
